Why this story?
I believe that cyberviolence and stalkings are very little talked about. That is why I thought this story would be very important to others who have become victims of such kinds of violence, and my experience might be beneficial for them, as they will understand it’s not their fault at all.
What do you want women to take away?
Even if the violence was going on for too long, it’s possible to stop it. You can do it. Every human being is strong and is able to break the vicious circle.
Do you think you have given something to other women?
Yes, I think every single story shared at the workshop is extremely important. When I found myself in the situation of violence, I really lacked such stories. And I didn’t realize that it is actually violence when you are beaten up. And, it shouldn’t be like that. That’s why I believe you are doing a great work that you are informing women about their rights and about their personal boundaries.
How did the workshop impact you?
I think first of all, it has an impacted me as a professional journalist. I think I can tell more now to better feel other women’s stories that I will have access to.
Has taking part in GTG impacted you at all? If yes, in what way?
I heard new stories, I heard about new experiences unknown to me. I’ve started looking at the problems, which seemed unimportant and insignificant to me before, from other standpoints. I feel I will have more empathy for other women.
